.SYNOPSIS...
Cold and generally dry conditions will persist through Friday
morning except for some passing light snow showers or flurries at
times. A series of storm systems will impact the Inland Northwest
this weekend into early next week with the potential for more
snow, breezy conditions and continued below normal temperatures for
most locations.

.DISCUSSION...
No big changes anticipated for today. Low pressure will sit over
the region with the center of the upper level low centered over
the Upper Columbia Basin. Although not a lot of moisture is
wrapping in around the low, it is enough to produce intermittent
flurries for portions of the ID Panhandle and extreme eastern WA.
Essentially where we see low level clouds there will be the
potential for some snow flakes to fall out. Upslope northwest flow
will increase into the Camas Prairie today into tonight. This will
be the are for the best potential of snow accumulations around an
inch possible. The snow will be light and dry and will unlikely
cause much in the way of travel impacts. /SVH

.AVIATION...
18Z TAFS: Low pressure will reside over the region today with
enough low level moisture to produce intermittent flurries. MVFR
cigs/vis will be possible through the afternoon at KGEG, KSFF,
KCOE, KPUW and KLWS. Drier air moving in from the north will
result in clearing through the night. However, this clearing will
also set up the potential for strong radiational cooling with
patchy fog developing across the northern mountain valleys by
Friday morning. Confidence is low that fog will develop at the TAF
sites, but the KGEG, KSFF and KCOE will be threatened by it with
IFR and isolated VLIFR conditions possible. /SVH
